Hey, who doesn't love a good Bio?

Hey, who doesn't love a good Bio?

Back in the time of Pangea, June 24th, 1980 to be exact, a wee little one by the name of Kassandra Marie is born.

Fast forward 28 years later here I am!  I am currently a graduate student at Sacramento State University.

Before that I worked as a corporate mule.  My resume looks impressive enough: finance, legal assistant, client service specialist, account executive, analyst.  But my passion, my true passion, always remained with Literature.

I received my BA in English from San Diego State University fall of 2003.  I worked too hard and didn't enjoy San Diego as much as I could have.  I made a promise that if I ever returned back for my MA I would enjoy myself.  I would join clubs, make time for friends, and above all make the decision to study abroad for a year.  I will be going to Wales (Swansea) fall of 2008.

I am a Cancer so I am drawn to large bodies of water.  I have always wanted to travel around the world since I was a little girl.  I am proud to say that I worked hard, with very little help, for everything that I own, even my education.

I have been collecting comic books since I was 14.  I mainly enjoy reading the fantasy genre: X-men and Elfquest.  I am a huge Katharine Kerr, Marion Zimmer Bradley, and Terry Brooks fan.

My dream is to support myself through freelance blogging, fantasy writing, and part-time teaching.  I adore college students who want to discuss the difference between brownies and faeries.

Anything else, just ask!  Just like my name "Phoenix" I am constantly changing, evolving, growing, and learning.  Ask to see my tattoo one day.
